The One Where My Car Got Stolen On Thanksgiving-Part One

Please note: This is a healthy living blog, however, I am taking some time to write out the whole story of my car being stolen. We will be back to regularly scheduled blogging(once i get on top of it again!) shortly!

The Wednesday night before Thanksgiving, I went to the liquor store(Champagne(pronounced in our home "sham pag neee"(Yes, I did 2 parentheses in one)). I got home around 9 PM and went inside for some movies with my love and babies.

Thanksgiving morning, I got up and puttered around the house for a while. I read the paper, drank a few glasses of mimosas, played Super Mario Brothers(Addicted!!!) and started cooking dinner. Around 11:45, I decided it was time to go to my dad's to say hello and happy thanksgiving. I looked out the window and something didn't seem right. 'Where is my car?', I thought.

I asked Babes, "Did you move my car?"

"No, why would I move your car?"

I ran outside to look up and down our complex(we live in a town home) and my car was nowhere to be seen. I instantly started bawling my eyes out, "My car is missing! *Pause to process* Someone stole my F*CKING CAR!"

Babes calls the police while I am simultaneously calling the insurance company to report it stolen.

While we are waiting for the police, Babes looks out the window and says, "I think the neighbor's car was stolen, too! They are pointing to where it looks like their car would be parked."

So, I walked outside, and across the street to the neighbor's door. "I have maybe the stupidest question for you. Was your car stolen?"

"Yeah, do you know where it is?" said the neighbor kid, who also happened to be talking to the police at the time.

"Ummmm....I wish! I am sure it is with my car that has also been stolen." Mind you, I am having this conversation in short shorts, a tank top, no shoes, messed up hair, and janky "just woke up to find my car has been stolen and all I have done is cry my eyes out" face.

I said my goodbye's and walked back home to tell Babes "Yep! There's is gone too!"

15 minutes pass by and the officer shows up. He asks basic info of the car, when we last drove/saw it, if we had seen anything unusual the night before, and so on.

He was at our house for about 5-10 minutes and went to take the neighbor's statement.

Thanksgiving is a day to be thankful and I am EVERYDAY! However, I was not thankful to have my car stolen on that day!

The rest of the day was spent letting my family know what had happened, enjoying Thanksgiving dinner at home, and continuing to be in shock because I thought 'Nothing like this would ever happen to me!'

Car Missing Day 1: No New Information
Car Missing Day 2: No New Information
Car Missing Day 3: No New Information
Car Missing Day 4: No New Information
Car Missing Day 5: No New Information
Car Missing Day 6: No New Information
Car Missing Day 7: The phone rings at 4:59AM. We have been waiting for this call for a week!

Babes answers, "Hello!"
From the other line, "Hello, is your name blankity blank? Did you report a kind of car stolen?"
Babes, "Yes, I did!"
Other person, "Sir, do you do any kind of construction or dry wall work out of this vehicle?"
We looked at each other thinking, 'NO! Why?'

Gaining Happens!

I remember the moment I got under 130! That was a big goal for me.

I remember the moment I got under 125! A weight I hadn't seen since 7th grade.

Today, I saw 134. In 1 year, I gained 10 pounds! Now, up until last month I had gained only 5 pounds and would teeter totter up to 131 and back down to 127 or 128. In the past 3 weeks, I haven't seen anything under 130. Talk about disappointing.

I refuse to beat myself up, because weight gain happens! I have the control to change it now before the 10 turns to 20!

I completed day 3 of the 30 day shred this morning. I took before pics on Saturday AM. I will take new pics and new measurements at day 10, 20 and 30.

Breakfast today rocked!

1 dippy egg, 1 slice honey whole wheat toast, and a juicy peach. I ate this 3 and a half hours ago and still feel fine.

Let's hope I can keep up on the good eating and workouts. I have 2.5 miles of running to do today after work also.

Saying goodbye for this!!

I hope you are all having a good day!!

1254

That is the number of calories consumed today. I did not work out, so I still had about 413 of a deficit. I am back to tracking and weight loss starting today. Although I maintained my weight very well over the past few months, I am ready to get to losing again!

I have not started training for anything, but I find that having a plan keeps me motivated. Does anyone know of any iPhone apps that help track and build training plans? I toilets boy dog, Lenny, running this past saturday AM and he sure makes me push myself harder!

Y'all remember that cute face, right? I love those freckles!!

Anyway, I have had a rough couple of weeks that left me feeling tired, sluggish and unmotivated, but I am ready to get back to running and gymming(I just made that a word!).

I leave you with 2 tips to help in losing some lbs.
1. When eating chinese, use chopsticks. Those things are hard(for me anyway) to use.
2. When using said chopsticks, be sure to drop food alll over yourself. Less calories, right? Right!

See you again real soon!!

What a weekend!!

I ate fairly healthy! Which is not the norm when we go camping! Here is saturday's lunch. Minus 1 bacon-wrapped turkey kebab. It was awesome!!

We went to a lake about 2 hours south of Salt Lake City. The weather was gorgeous. I even got a little sun on my pasty white skin. And, this guy did a lot of fetch and swimming.

He seriously is so cute and photogenic! The other cute little pup in my life spent her time "chilling".

The week started a little rough, but it will get better ;)

My love is out of town for the next 2 days. So, let's see what fun meals I can have! Also, I haven't run in oh 2 weeks, but I am hoping to get right back into it now!!

On that note, I leave you with a gorgeous view from our campsite!

What fun did you have this weekend?

Mmmmm....food!

I have been eating my little heart out lately. How am I maintaining my weight? No clue, but it is still 23 lbs from my ideal "happy weight"!

Getting back on track can be tough! Summer hit Utah hard and fast. I am in no way, shape or form in love with the idea of being in a bikini right now. Thankfully, I can start dropping some lbs. in the beginning of summer instead of at the end.

I picked up an iPhone4 a couple of weeks ago and have just now downloaded the blogger+ app. So, I will make it a goal to post more regularly.

"Happy Birthday, Lisa! Lisa, It's Your Birthday?"

That is what I heard ALL DAY Saturday(4/9...I started this post a week ago.....Lame sauce!) from my "ManFriend"! I wonder if he knows my name is not Lisa? Ha...Kidding. Yes, that is from a Simpson's episode and YES...I turned 26 on Saturday April 9.

You know, I kind of felt really sad on my 26th birthday. Like something had changed when that 6 was at the end of the 2. I didn't think I would feel old, because I don't think 26 is old AT ALL! It was here and then it was gone within a few days, thankfully!

So, some sad news to report. Our first try at breeding the pup was a fail. We thought we felt puppies(so did the vet) but no dice! Hopefully round 2 means lots and lots of them :)

I am now on Twitter----->FOLLOW ME BY CLICKING THE LINK! Thank you, in advance!

I am still working out and eating well. My weight has been maintaining....even after 4 pieces of cheesecake in 4 days AND a huge birthday cake that certainly wasn't going to eat itself. I have found a midnight half marathon that I am going to train for! I have 13 weeks and I know I can do it :) I am hoping to PR! We will see!

What's new with you?

Do you twitter? I would love to follow you :)

No Apologies Here.

I haven't been here because.........I have been LIVING! And one can NOT apologize for that, right?

I am maintaining my weight below 130 for now. However, I am going to push myself hard to get to my goal weight. I have been paying attention to portions and I attribute that to maintenance.

The happenings in the "Miles In Murray" household you might ask?

  • We are still preparing for puppy arrival! We can feel them on occasion now! Weeeeee! I am so excited!!!!
  • We are now doing a Winder Farms weekly delivery. For you non utahns, Winder is a farm and they have a home delivery system. They deliver milk, eggs, veggies, fruits, warm and serve meals, meat, and such. This will help me keep on track with meal planning.
  • We purchased a tent trailer yesterday!! As most of you know, my love and I are avid campers over the summer. We have been talking about getting one for 3 years now, so with puppies coming we thought let's just do it now and make it easier :)
  • We have a reef tour. It is basically an opportunity for salt water fish tankers(right word for it? Eh...) to show off what they have created. So, Saturday...all day will be dedicated to maybe 100+ people in and out of our house the whole day. It's fun to see all the people that actually care about the tank and compliment the hard work that Lover Boy has done to his gorgeous tank! Sidenote: Saturday is also my birthday.
See, I am having lots o' fun round here :)

I haven't worked out enough lately and my body is feeling it! It is time to set the alarm and listen to it when it goes off....no hitting snooze twice then turning it off. I have to remember that this is about me and MY health. I am tired of the 120's. I want to be in the 1teen's like NOW! So, I have lots of hard work to do, but I know it can be done.

Have you guys heard of fat2fit radio? I am just starting to listen and it rocks. However, my favorite podcast is Jillian!!!!!!!! She is so awesome! I love her the more I hear out of her mouth.

So, I am curious. I don't really talk about much else on this blog; besides health/fitness. Is there anything anyone would like to ask? You know, as a get to know me a little bit better.

3 Miles...

I completed a 3 mile run yesterday afternoon in 28:08. That is a 9:22 pace.

Mile 1: 9:16
Mile 2: 9:14
Mile 3: 9:35

I felt great afterwards, totally had that runners high. It was still a really hard run though. Then again, when I first started running a year and a half ago, it took me 15 minutes to do 1 mile. I think next week I will start following a 10k schedule and then a half, like I did the first go around. All to prep me for a marathon hopefully in December, we'll see. I slept through my alarm this morning and did not do the "30 Day Shred". Thankfully, I am off work tonight and so I will fit it in before I go to bed :)

I weighed myself on Monday and was 131.8...NOOOOOO! Then, this morning I was 128.2.....YESSSS!! I just need to continue losing. Summer is coming and I want to be the fittest I ever have been for this bikini season!

Thanks for all your suggestions on getting my running groove back! I think just running outside is going to help with a lot of that. Well that and hopefully my running buddy will start behaving and run a little slower so I can keep up with him..
If I could, he would run 7:00 miles for days, but I can't. Obviously, I am good at taking pictures of him after I dress him up. We all have our talents!

She just felt left out from the blog and wanted me to show you her talent! It's called sleep champion of the world! She is good. Pregnancy is making her even better! Lucky!

Today, I would like to know:

Do you have any pets? What kind would you like to have, if you don't?

I obviously have 2 dogs. They are actually the first dogs I have ever had. I always wanted dogs, but my parents didn't have the time nor patience for a dog.

What is the fastest you have ever run a mile?

8:37...a few weeks ago at the gym. Speed work, baby, speed work!

Gotta go, the pregnant dog is EXTRA whiny today and needs some cuddling....STAT!

How Stella...Er...Tiff Can Get Her Groove Back?

I fell completely off the face of the earth...

I KNOW!

It's been a crazy March, I haven't been to this corner in 2 weeks. Instead of boring you with what I have been up to, I am going to talk about my running struggle, and maybe you can help a girl get her mojo back.

Over on my old blog, I used to always talk about how much I love running and how my first half marathon was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Like, ABSOLUTELY THE BEST DAY EVER!

Now, I really just am NOT feeling it and it is making me so sad. I think because the winter months had me stuck on the treadmill so much that my want to run on it crashed and burned...Fast and Hard(That's What She Said, Right?)! I have run outside a couple of times this year and it makes my lungs feel like they are splitting open...OUCH! My legs...wait, don't get me started on that pain!

I wish I had my zest for running right now(or working out in general), but I am just not feeling it!

And...I don't understand. How could I go from being essentially addicted to running/working out to not wanting to do it at all? I need to get my running mojo back STAT!

How do you get your running/exercise mojo back? Help a girl out, please and thank you!

Goal of the Day: Go Running! Oh, and blog about it, Darn Slacker!

Well, Well, Well! Here I am again....

I have been doing a TON of thinking about my journey and how it plays into my life. The truth is, I am super busy right now. I haven't been tracking daily on SparkPeople. I still weigh about the same as I have for the past year. Would I like to get out of the 120's? Yes! Do I still feel I HAVE to weigh 109? No! My body is pretty small right now. Well, everywhere but the abs/love handles. The number is messing with my head a little, but that has to stop.

All of this weight thinking HAS. TO. STOP. NOW!

I am currently a size 4(27). I would like to get into a size 2(26). I am really close, but my tummy region needs some help!

Enter this gorgeous woman!
I am going to let Miss Michaels help a girl out! I did the 30 day shred for about 10 days or so a while back and then quit, but a few days after I quit, I noticed that my arms looked great...and so did my legs, butt and abs. Damn! Why did I quit? I stopped making it my priority to get it done. I got bored.

But...

I caught "The Shred" fever again and this time I decided to combat the boredom with some Pandora and used the power of the "MUTE" button.

Tonight, I am going to have my lovely man take measurements and "before" photos! I will start the DVD tonight. We'll see what the next 30 days bring.

In other news.....

Today's food & workout looks great so far!

Workout: 10 Minute Elliptical warm up. 8x400 at 5k pace speed work.
Breakfast: Cinnamon Raisin English Muffin with Protein Smoothie(1/2 banana, 1/2 cup blueberries, 2 handfuls spinach, 1 scoop low carb protein powder and water)
Snack: 1/2 of banana leftover from smoothie.
Lunch: Turkey Sandwich(Low Sodium Turkey, Light Mayo, Honey Mustard, Arnold Sandwich Thin, Cheese), Pirate's Booty BARRRRRRBecue
Snack: Honey Crisp Apple with PB
Dinner: TBD

Goal of the Day: Take photos and start "The Shred"!

How are y'all doing?
Have you ever done the "30 Day Shred" before? Results?
How do you keep calm when you have a hectic schedule?

Still Alive!

I promise, I am still here. I will be back to update y'all tomorrow :)

Before & After

130.8
128.4
127.8

Those are my scale readings this week. Monday, I started tracking on SparkPeople, but did not weigh. Tuesday I weighed 130.8. Wednesday, I weighed at 128.4. This morning, I weighed in at 127.8. Wow, this is working. I am eating between 1300 and 1500 calories. SparkPeople recommends I eat about 1200-1550. I tweak it according to my workouts. Saturday is long run day...8 miles...so, I will obviously go over my "budget" of calories, but also burn 1000+ calories.

I feel good about my progress thus far. 3 pounds in 3 days, I will take it. My overall goal is to be 109 by 6/1/11. Now, before anyone goes crazy on me, this is attainable for me to do in a healthy way. I am just under 5' tall. Right now my BMI is 25.8 putting me in the "Overweight" category. At 109, I will have a BMI of 22 putting me in the middle of the "Normal" Range.

This is a photo of me and I would say I weighed approximately 160-165. This was taken a year before I met Chad and when I met him I weighed 155.

This is me at 124. Do I believe I look terrible 4 pounds lighter than I am now? No, not at all. However, for me, I know I can look better. I have my fat days just like everybody else, but I also know I have come a long way and look 100% better than I used to.

These pictures will continue to motivate me to get where I would like to be!

Goal of the Day: Get my booty to the gym for my speedwork after work. No excuses.

Recommiting

I pre-tracked breakfast and lunch last night. The only thing I did not pre track in sparkpeople was dinner.

I work every Monday night from 6-9PM at the mall. So, dinner is usually subway. However, the line at Subway was ungodly long. So, I chose Chic-Fil-A. I had chicken nuggets a side salad and TCBY for desert.

Total calories today were 1517. SparkPeople says I should be between 1200-1550. So, not too shabby. I did not make it to the gym because I did not go to sleep until about 2:00.

So, our life is about to get a little crazier. In roughly 8 weeks, we will be joined by a few babies from this girl
Little Miss Abigail has officially been bred. This was her a few days after her daddy brought her home(I was not in the picture yet). She is 4 now and expecting her first litter. That is why I was out of my house for just about 14 hours last Tuesday. She responded well to the sire and should have 100% confirmation that she is pregnant in 4 weeks. Although, I can tell she is preggers, because she is acting wacko! Like lay on my chest and bark in my face at 1, 2, 3 o'clock in the morning EVERY morning since meeting up with her hot little boy toy. She has never done this before. So, she has to have some buns in the oven, right? I sure hope so!

Well, it is off to bed for me. I hope you all have a great night!

Goal for the Day was to track everything! I made it!

Oh, and one more picture of my other little cuteness, this is Lenny when he first came home. 5 weeks old!

How was your Monday?

Do you have any pets?

Starting Over is Tough To Do!

I have not been in the right mind frame this past week. It starts strong, but then I get lazy or busy. This week started out busy busy. I worked from 8:30AM-9:15PM on Monday. Tuesday I was out of the house at 6:50AM and didn't get home until 8:30PM. That day I also spent 4 hours in my car. Leaving me not up to grocery shopping. So, I kind of just ate whatever last week. I wouldn't say I fell "off the wagon", I didn't. I overindulged in sweets. I know what my problem was, now it is just about....

Getting Back To Basics!

I logged back into SparkPeople.com. I am going to try calorie counting again. I always get lazy with it, but if I make the time to track, I know I can stick to it. I also need to take more pictures for the blog to spruce this joint up a little bit. My food scale is going to be my best friend for sure.

Today's Goal of the Day: Log in all of the foods I eat regularly onto SparkPeople. That way it will be easier to track.

What is My Issue?

This weekend it was like I was a 175 pound girl all over again. Luckily, the scale hasn't shown my actions. I have been following my 1/2 marathon schedule, plus some extra cardio time. So, we will just say I found a good balance. However, I want to get on the losing streak again. I am determined to get to my goal!

This week, I am going to change it up slightly. I would really like to work on strength training. I am going to start off with the 30 day shred for 30 days and some 6 weeks 6 pack abs thrown in. I will do Jillian Michaels' Yoga Meltdown on Sunday's.

I have been keeping my 1/2 training page up to date daily. I like that it keeps me accountable and it truly motivates me to do my best so I can show people how I am becoming the fittest person I can be.

In other news, I have officially been a member of 24hour fitness for 1 month. I have gone 18 times in 30 days. Although I am not happy with that number, it could have been worse. I would like to be going 5-6 days a week. So, I am working on that. Let's see how next month goes, shall we?

What has your weekend been like? Are you more prone binge on weekends?

Being Proud of Me!

I bey y'all thought you lost me forever! You thought wrong! I am just keeping busy busy with life and such.

Let's talk about Saturday's long run. You can see all of my workouts on my 1/2 training page. I did the first 3 miles on the treadmill and then wanted to die of boredom poke my eyeball out stop. So, I thought it best to go home and pick up my running bud, Lenny for a 3 miler. That dog is fast! He pushed me hard. Our first mile was an 8:59 pace, to which I replied "Holy Sh*t!" That is my fastest mile ever. Then, a 9:06 and finished it up with a 10:00 pace. Lenny wore me out too fast. Ah well, I learned from that for sure. So, my long runs will be a slower pace and may just happen by myself..ha!

This morning, I hit up the gym at 6:15ish. I had about 30 minutes to put in a quick workout so I chose the treadmill. The first treadmill I hopped on made a screeching noise when the belt was moving. So, I hopped on another treadmill and it was the same thing. I decided running just wasn't in the cards and hopped on an elliptical. After 11 minutes, I was bored because I forgot my iPod. So, I decided I would find a treadmill that didn't suck! I ran the first mile at a 9:34 pace. The second I did intervals and ended with an 8:28 pace! The funny thing is, I felt that if I slowed to a 9:00 mile or so I could continue on with my workout! That has never happened!

So, good for me, right?

Anyways, I will be back later with a more entertaining post!

Question: Is there a person/pet that keeps you insanely motivated?
Mine is definitely Lenny! Whenever I am in a slump I know that crazy cute dog is up for a run :)

Weigh In and Speed Work

This mornings weight was 128.2. So, a little gain, but I am not going to get upset about it. I am trying some new things this week, because I am not losing. I have been eating less and working out more. I am going to try to eat more for the next week and see how that works out.

Today was speed work day! My workout looked like this:

Minute      Speed
1-5              6.0
6-15            6.3
16-23          6.7
24-25          7.0
26-30          6.0

It was NICE! I love speed work even though it is so tough to get through.

I followed up the workout with a smoothie!
1/2 cup blueberries
handful of spinach
1 scoop of protein powder
1/4 cup of soy milk
1/2 cup of water

I love my new protein powder! The taste is awesome. I will incorporate this smoothie for my post workout snack everyday. Hopefully, adding that as a meal will help with me losing some weight. We have no groceries today(because I am lazy busy). So, I will be getting creative for lunch.

Goal of the Day: Go Grocery Shopping. Along with some Meal Planning.

What do you do when the scale stalls?

I Love Weekends

Friday's Goal of the Day: Going out to dinner for a friends birthday tonight and I would like to be conscientious of what I eat and how much of it!

How did I do? I did fantastic. I started with a house salad and red wine vinaigrette and I ordered the seafood pasta. I ate most of the salad and less than half of the pasta. I loved the scallops in it!

Weekend Goal: (1)Try to maintain an eating schedule as close to the weekdays as possible. (2) Walk/Run a half marathon distance on Saturday.
How did I do? (1) I maintained a decent eating schedule this weekend and didn't go overboard on the food. (2) I did more than half complete this. I speed walked 8 miles on the treadmill Saturday morning. It took under 2 hours. Then, I came home and got Lenny for a 5 mile run....that turned into a 1 mile run. I had a very emotional Saturday and I really wanted to complete it all, but I have a lot going on in my life and I let my head get the better of me :( Oh well, 9 miles is better than nothing, right? Plus, I was SO SORE all day yesterday and during this mornings workout.

Today's Workout: 10 Minute elliptical warm up followed by a 3.0 mile run in 28:33 that is a 9:31/mile pace. On the treadmill, that is awesome!

This morning I weighed 128.6, which is up from 2 weeks ago of 127.6. That is fine by me. I am definitely gaining some muscle, as I am sore just about everyday. I will start strength training about 4 days a week. At first, I will do the Jillian Michael's DVD and then once I have a good base, I will work in a few gym strength training sessions a week.

On today's agenda, I work from 8:30AM-5PM. Then, head to the part time gig from 6PM-9PM.

How was your weekend?

Somedays The Scale Rocks....

I weigh every morning. There! I said typed it for all of you to see.
I like to see my weight fluctuate. When I weigh 2 pounds heavier on a Monday, I don't sweat it. My eating is so screwed up on the weekends. As far as food choices go, weekends are troublesome all the time sometimes. The part that really gets me is the schedule. I eat every morning at 8:00 or 8:30 during the week. On the weekends, I am still sleeping at that time. When I do roll out of bed, I don't eat right away. I workout first and eat closer to lunch time. It continues like that all weekend.

I never freak out when I see the number go up overnight. For instance, Monday the scale said "129.2" and today it says "126.2". Do I think I lost 3 pounds in 4 days? No. It could be anything that caused the gain. High Sodium. Eating/Snacking too late. Water retention. No Bowel Movement(*ew* Gross, I know).

I don't beat myself up when that number is higher. In fact, the days I weigh higher get me really motivated though. I feel like it makes me work just a little bit harder. I remind myself why I am doing this and what I want to get out of it. Hello! I wanna be a fit marathoner!

Goal of the Day: Going out to dinner for a friends birthday tonight and I would like to be conscientious of what I eat and how much of it!

Weekend Goal: (1)Try to maintain an eating schedule as close to the weekdays as possible. (2) Walk/Run a half marathon distance on Saturday.

Feel Good Thought of the Day: The scale does not define you!

Happy Friday everyone! What are your plans for the weekend?

Creature of Habit....

First off, WELCOME TO MY NEW HOME!

Today has looked a little like this:
  • Woke up at 5:00AM. Laid in bed for 8 minutes.

  • Hit the gym for...28 minutes on eliptical. I then followed it up with an 8 minute walk on the treadmill and jogged for 7 minutes.I did 1.25 miles in 15 minutes. Not horrible. It was a nice cardio session.
  • Post workout meal: Protein powder, blueberries, spinach, banana and water.
Now, I am drinking my coffee. Sounds like a good day so far.

Typically, my days are the same as far as food goes.

Breakfasts During the Week: I have a few different breakfasts. 1-Oatmeal with PB and banana. 2-Greek Yogurt with cereal sprinkled on top and a banana. 3-A breakfast sandwich with fruit.

Lunch During the Week: 1-Turkey or Tuna sandwich with a side salad and fruit for dessert. 2-Soup and a side salad. 3-Salad with protein(i.e. chicken, tuna, pork etc). 4-Leftovers from dinner and a side salad.

Dinner During the Week: We have a few signature dinners. 1-Carnitas. 2-Tostadas. 3-Chicken fingers. 4-Baked Chicken and rice. All of which start with side salads.

Weekends are all over the place. I try to stick to the same types of foods, but I am not structured in times I eat, like at all. I also tend to snack a lot. So, weekends are always a challenge for me, but I am hoping to grasp that and really get a handle on them.

Here is a before picture I just found of myself:
I either had a food baby in there or I really was that big, but in complete denial. Unfortunately, it was the denial.

This is about 36 lbs lost and my current after picture:
Love this!

I am aiming to lose another 18 pounds in the coming months.

The plan to lose this weight you ask:
  • Portion Control
  • Great Food Choices(with occasion indulgences)
  • Training for half marathons
  • Begin weight training
  • Being as active as possible
I have lost 48 lbs since my heaviest weight of 175. Oh, and I am just under 5'0'' tall. I did most of it without dieting. I just changed my lifestyle. I started going to the gym instead of diving into my pantry.

If there is anything I have learned in the past year and a half, it is that I am doing this for ME! I used to try to lose weight so I could find a hot guy(Ha! I found one when I was almost 20 pounds heavier than I am now). I used to try to lose weight so that people would look at me like wow she has a great body. Now, I choose to lose this weight because everyday I look in the mirror and think 'Look at what you have accomplished. You keep looking better and better. You are happier, healthier and live a better life!'
