Whoa! A year passed really quickly!! I can't believe all the neglect I've allowed my little space on the Internets to have. This past year has been trying, exciting, happy, devastating and full of so much personal growth.

While I'm not ready to open up about the past year quite yet, I will someday.

First, I guess getting it out there and typing this out loud will make it real and I can't turn back after I hit post. Well, I can, but I won't. In the past 7 months I've gained 20 pounds! It feels good to get that off my chest. I've hidden myself more from the world the past few months because my self esteem is just so far from what it used to be.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the way I look physically, I just don't love it. The thing I hate about it is that, my overall health is affected. I can still run. I can still lift (heavy) weights. I can still complete plenty of Jillian Michaels DVDs. I just don't do it often enough.

When I lost 22 lbs back from August '09 to April '10, I felt AMAZING! I couldn't believe I had done it! Me! The girl who didn't realize how out of shape she had gotten until a camping trip and walking a 1/4 of a mile(out of a measly 1 mile hiking loop) made her hyperventilate. That was the moment I knew I had to do something for my health and myself. I knew I was the only one that could change my life and I had to put in the hardwork to get it done.

I maintained my lowest weight(+ or - 3 pounds) for about a year. Then slowly gained about 10 back. I was still working out hard 4-5 days a week. I put on a significant amount of muscle in that time as well. I basically only ran a couple of times a month, and instead, I was hitting the stairmaster a lot(Hello Miss New Booty!!) I still felt good about myself with the 10+ pounds. I maintained that weight for a couple more years.

Then in September of last year, things got a little "difficult". I had a lot on my plate. The boyfriend suggested we bowl and after a few times, I was hooked. We got our own balls and shoes and started going 3-5 times a week. Every time we went, I would drink at least 2 or 3 beers. Before I knew it, I was above my 2009 starting weight and working out took the backseat. I still went to the gym a few times a week, but wasn't having "quality" workouts.

Around Christmas, I had to go and buy new jeans because NOTHING in my closet fit. Even that didn't push me into needing to drop the extra lbs I had gained. Then, we decided to go to Vegas and I said that I would lose some weight before we left....because....I'm turning <span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">30(!!!) and I don't want to feel negatively about myself when I do.

So, we leave for Vegas the 3rd weekend in April! Giving me just over 4 weeks to get my groove back. I'm on day 2 of early morning workouts (and NO BOOZE!) with 4 running sessions a week. I know what makes me happy and I know what makes me healthy.
<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">

<span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Here's to a Happier, Healthier Me!!!

Day 2 started at 3:05 this morning. I'm sure I'll be tired later, but it's only a half hour earlier than normal.

Today's workout:
3.1 mile run in 29:14
Legs(circuits with shoulder work & cardio in the mix)
Finished with 15 minutes of elliptical

Food yesterday was great. I was actually slightly below my calorie goal, but my macros were on point. Where I am more focused on my macros, I am thrilled with the food yesterday.

These pics are a couple of weeks old. I'm so pleased with how much muscle I've been able to build in the past few months. My body is shaping up quite nicely.

The thing I've struggled with the past few weeks are accepting the changes. I've loved seeing the changes in my arms and legs, but my waist line is changing because of my legs/booty changing. My stomach looks like it sticks out further in the front and not as "flat" as it normally is. But that's not the case. It's because my booty is lifting and shaping and my love handles are going down. My stomach hasn't gone down much though. If that even makes sense. It's so hard to describe

Anyways, overall I'm happy, but this new body is taking some getting used to.Miles In Murrayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05869826900205669634noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7809396014414270927.post-51633140283889402352014-04-15T06:13:00.001-07:002014-04-15T10:36:15.385-07:00Back To It!I've been so lazy and eating a lot of garbage lately. Birthday week for me is over and it's time to get my shit together. I woke up and weighed this morning.
141.2
When I lost weight and got fit for the first time in my adult life, my starting weight was 142. My lowest weight since has been 121. Seeing the 141.2 wasn't much of of a shock actually. I knew it wasn't going to be pretty. I've been hanging between 130 and 135 for almost 2 years now. This past few weeks all hell has broken loose. I am still working out 3-5 days a week, but not prepping like I should.
Today I am back at it. Tracking my food and continuing my workouts.
Today's workout:
25 minutes sprint HIIT 40 on, 20 off, 30 on, 30 off
Biceps, triceps and some ab work
Finished off with 25 minutes on the stepmill
Total time 1 hour 40 minutes and 851 calories burned
It was a sweaty workout and pretty tough.
Food wise I have everything packed and my gallon of water with me at all times.
I will be weighing in every Tuesday, but plan to blog daily or every other day. I've found blogging keeps me on track to my goals.
Miles In Murrayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05869826900205669634noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7809396014414270927.post-59813773803807051922014-02-19T19:35:00.001-08:002014-02-19T20:40:02.093-08:00Update Of All Updates! Life is good. Work is good. That's all.
Ha! Yeah right, I am a big mouth who loves to talk. So, lets just dive in head first.
Back in December one of the besties challenged me and another best to a clean eating challenge. We would eat clean all week and get one cheat a week. It was just the kick in the pants I needed. I made it through with just a couple of small slip ups. I started to see and feel some really good changes happening. My motivation was through the roof. I was working out 6 days a week. I was lifting a lot and doing a little cardio. My weight only changed slightly, but my measurements were going down. So, I was pleased.
Then, January 1 happened. I had a dramatic start to the year. I got sick with a pretty rough head cold. I let excuses creep and clean eating took a back seat. Thankfulky, that didn't last long.

This changing body of mine definitely takes some getting used to at times. I do love it though.
Changing my eating habits has definitely improved all aspects of my life. I am more energized. I am happier and more positive. I am seeing great changes.
I plan on being here tomorrow to talk about iifym. I have only been counting macros for 2 days, but so far so good. I still have so many conflicting feelings that I really don't know how to deal with! Ahhhh..drives me nuts!

Is it January yet? I haven't much enjoyed the holiday season the past few years. I always feel better once January hits and the holiday stress is over with. I enjoy the family time and the parties. It's just...the stress of the perfect gift, having to pass on one party for another, feeling like the significance of thanksgiving and Christmas are completely lost in today's society...that make it less enjoyable.

I have mastered the AM gym going! I get up 4-5 days a week at 3:30 or 4 AM to go to the gym. Most weeks it is easy. Some weeks my body craves sleeeepp!! I don't beat myself up on the weeks I don't go as much, I just do better the next week!

There are so many awesome people at my gym. I love all the "good morning" and "have a nice day" comments! It really brightens my day!

When did I become such an introvert? I used to be so outgoing. Now, I tend to be really shy. I have no idea what and when this happened, but I am determined to change it!

My food choices have been less than stellar for a while. Although it was accompanied by ZERO weight gain!! I am right back on track.

This girl! Yikes!

Now, here's the thing. I went to a bachlorette party this weekend and I knew I was going to wear a swim suit for hot tubbing. So, I went shopping to find one. Everything I found emphasized my love handles. My #1 trouble zone! No matter what I do or how clean I eat they never seem to slim down.

Instead of beating the shit out of myself like always, I thought about it. Really thought about it.

You see, I have scoliosis. My back curves in the middle and in the lower lumbar area. Which makes sense that my weight really shows in those areas. If that makes sense. Ha!

So, when I thought about it, I realized that that is how my scoliosis affects my body. Do I believe that one day I will be happy with my love handle area? Absolutely! Right now, although it still makes me self conscious, I have worked too hard to let that bring me down!

I used to be 175 pounds, possibly heavier! I am in the high 120's right now, all because of hard work and perseverance! I am going to show what I have got. You know what? When I put that suit on, I got compliments and it felt good!

The photo on the left is January of this year and the photo on the right is from March of this year.

Ignore the shitty look on my face. Haha!

When I study this photo a little, I see a difference!

From now on, I will celebrate the fact that my body works and carries me! I can run, walk, and lift thanks to that body! I will be sure to appreciate it more now.

That is the conclusion I came to standing in a dressing room looking at the body I have!
Miles In Murrayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05869826900205669634noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7809396014414270927.post-54633836599931032182013-05-01T11:09:00.000-07:002013-05-01T11:10:32.867-07:00Still alive and kickin'
Well, shit! I was doing pretty good. Posting about 1-2 times a week and then life got in my way.

When I last left you, I was working out like a mad woman and I still am.

Just a week after my last post, I got a text from my best friend saying one of our friends had passed away. I was totally not expecting it. We were planning a Wendover trip for his birthday. Even now, it doesn't feel real. I swear he is going to just show up one day and give me a big hug. His service was beautiful. Although it was a sad circumstance, I still loved seeing some old friends.

Terry, my best Ash and I in Wendover 2007

I then spent the next couple of weeks continuing my awesome workouts!

And I am finally seeing some results in the rear end area. I have always had a flat butt, but as you will see it is plumping up nicely!

That is a 4 week difference! I am so impressed with myself and my dedication. I have come such a long way this past year and I am definitely not stopping now.

We also had our first camping trip of the year! Yippee!

I met a friend of mine, Kari, at a new(to me) 24 hr fitness today. Kari has been asking if I want to go to a spin class and it hasn't worked out until today. The plan was yoga, as I still have a little coughing action. However, I woke up feeling so much better with a minimal cough. So I decided the gym was happening.

We warmed up on spin bikes while waiting for the spin class to start. The class was fantastic! The instructor is nice and personable. She knew how to motivate us to work at our level.

It was my first class and I will definitely be going back for Kari and I's Sunday morning dates! I have missed her.

After spin, it was yoga time! I haven't done yoga in ages. Actually the last class I did was with my mom like 14 years ago. The class was challenging, but fairly relaxing.

Overall, I was there for 2 and a half hours and burned 786 calories! It was quite the welcome back. I am looking forward to the 4:30AM alarm tomorrow.

Yes, I am crazy!

Now, let me tell you a funny (or scary depending on how you look at it) story.

We live by a pond/canal with lots of ducks, geese and even goats. Often times cars are way backed up for the geese to cross the road. Friday night, you couldn't get passed them because they were walking in a zig zag. Chad told me to go shoo them out of the road.

I jump out of the truck and run behind them telling them to move. Then, because I think I am funny, I started imitating their running. I saw you yesterday and wanted to cry.

You see, I have been sick. I don't feel sick, but my body is telling me that I am. I have a stuffy nose and I am hacking up a lung a few times a day. This has been going on for 9 days now.

I have been asked (by my other true love) to not come back to you until I am 100%. I know he is right, as hacking up a lung when I am with you is not appealing to the other people who come to visit you.

However, today is different. I woke up feeling pretty good. Still have a little coughing, but no lung hacking up happening! Hallelujah!!

Tomorrow, I will be by to visit. I don't know how good bloggers do it. Those posts take quite a bit if time to make.

That night, I ended up having a larabar for my snack.

After work, I walked into my house and it looked like this...

It was chaos. We are doing a "tank reveal party" and I will have better pictures then to show.

Anyways, we had to go return a truck we borrowed to move the stand and by the time we did that it was almost 9 and we didn't feel like waiting an hour for dinner to cook. So, In N Out happened. I got the cheeseburger protein style. Utah is new to the whole In N Out thing and I just don't think the food lives up to the hype taste wise. Price wise, it is decent. I just don't love the food.

Overall, that day wasn't terrible food wise. My macros were pretty spot on for my goals.

The past 2 days I have been feeling a little blah. My voice is hit and miss, but I don't feel like I have a cold or sickness. I just feel like my body is worn out. So, I haven't been to the gym. I really want to go, but if this is turning into a sickness, I don't want to be the dick that spreads it around the gym lol.

That is a huge pet peeve of mine. If you are sick or feeling a little sick, DO NOT GO TO THE DAMN GYM! Every morning I see people use machines and walk away without wiping down the equipment. That is just nasty! I am going to be the crazy gym lady who brings Lysol to the gym haha.

That is my recap of the past couple of days.

What is your biggest pet peeve at the gym?

Miles In Murrayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05869826900205669634noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7809396014414270927.post-77438902703217265502013-02-19T13:40:00.000-08:002013-02-19T13:41:14.536-08:00Round 2 of the day
Today has been pretty uneventful so far. Today called for a 3 mile run. I did it in 29:43. I am so happy with my pace lately! I have been working hard and I am loving the results.

After the run, I did 18 minutes on the elliptical.

Overall I burned 402 calories.

I came home to a fun little surprise. I am following the Hal Higdon half marathon novice 2 plan. However, I am tweaking it to fit my needs. I will only be running 3 days a week versus 4. My weeks will consist of 1 speed work day, 1 3 Mile Run, and a long run. I feel this is what works best for my body.

For my first half, I did run 4 days a week and I felt fine most of the time, but I was really burned out. I am hoping 3 running days will help me feel less burned out at the end of this training period. I have some bigger goals for 2013 and being burned out early will not help me get to those goals. Ha!

My goals for the SLC Half Marathon are:

1-To finish with a smile on my face.
2-Beat my best time of 2:16:00

Simple and attainable goals for this girl. I can't wait to post the updates to my training!! Miles In Murrayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05869826900205669634noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7809396014414270927.post-10360670338448807252013-02-04T19:17:00.000-08:002013-02-04T19:17:33.495-08:00When the going gets tough.....I was sick last week. It seems like lately (more like the past 6 months), I get into an awesome groove and then get derailed. It is knee pain, ankle pain or I get an awful cold/ear infection. Through all this, I just refuse to give up on me and my goals.

I am doing 2 things right now.
1. I started "New Rules of Lifting for Women". Great great great!
2. It is once again half marathon training time. This time, I am kicking my best time(2:16:00) in the ass and doing it in less time.

Every day I wake up and think 'Ouch! I am so sore. I love it!'. I am loving my workouts lately.

Starting the New Rules of Lifting for Women and half marathon training will be tough, but I know I can do it. My workout routing for the next few months will look a little something like this:

Monday-New Rules of Lifting and 30-60 minutes elliptical
Tuesday-3(progressing to a 5 mile run) Mile Run and 20-30 minutes of elliptical, stairs, or bike
Wednesday-New Rules of Lifting and 30-60 minutes elliptical
Thursday-3 Mile(Speedwork) Run, 20-30 minutes of additional cardio if I feel up to it
Friday-New Rules of Lifting and 30 minutes easy elliptical
Saturday-Long Run
Sunday-Rest day

I may buddy up run days and lifting days occasionally. I am sure I will take an extra rest day from time to time. I am excited to have a focused strength training plan during half marathon training. I have not done that before. However, after only 2 weeks I am starting to tell a significant difference in my running and my legs.

I leave you today with a picture that totally cracks me up.
However, someone *cough* me *cough* got injured AGAIN!

Let's back up a little. Last I left off, I was training for the Halloween Half Marathon. Training was going well, I was certain I would beat my previous time, and WHAM! Knee and ankle pain hit me hard! I took some time off, R.I.C.E.'d, and focused on lifting with light cardio. After a week, I gave it another chance and it was a no go. I was extremely bummed about missing the half, but I didn't want to get injured further. So, I took off 3 weeks from running.

In the 3 weeks I took off, I decided that I wanted to focus on gaining speed and endurance. So, I downloaded a couch to 5k app. I was all set and ready to run.

The first workout was great. I did the walking parts in a light jog at a 5.0 on the treadmill and the running parts were at a 6.5. I felt terrific. Like I could run on that damn treadmill forever. The second workout was much the same.

The third workout I decided to pick it up a little. I did the jogging parts at varying speeds 5.2-5.8. The running I kept at 6.5. After the workout, I felt fantastic. This was last Monday. I came home and started getting ready for work. In the shower my back was a little sore, but I didn't think much of it. Throughout the day, I had nagging pain, but tolerable. By 5 o'clock, it was excruciating! I took a hot bath at 1AM, that didn't help. I iced and it felt a little better. Enough for me to get some sleep at least.

Tuesday and Wednesday I took ibuprofen every few hours, iced, and applied a heating pad to my back. Today is Sunday and it still isn't better! I mean, it's better, but not back to normal.

I don't know at what point I got the injury, and I am not sure it is from working out. I do know that I have taken the week off from working out, just in case. I just hope it isn't from running. I was just starting to love it again.

Tomorrow, I am going to go to the gym in the AM for some elliptical action. Depending on how I feel after that, will be what next weeks workouts look like.

Here's to hoping my back quits being a jerk!Miles In Murrayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05869826900205669634noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7809396014414270927.post-60385616627848939902012-11-18T19:26:00.000-08:002012-11-18T19:26:07.109-08:00Simple Paleo EatingI don't have any pictures, but fully intend to take some this week. I have been eating fantastic and simple paleo meals for the past few weeks now.

Breakfasts

Egg and Veggie scramble. Mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and spinach are my favorite mixes right now. Top it all with guacamole and add a side of turkey bacon. It makes the perfect filling breakfast!

Almond flour pancakes. I make my own almond flour, which I will blog about someday. Top it with fresh bananas and a touch of maple syrup. Again, add turkey bacon and you have another fun, filling breakfast.

Turkey Bacon and hard boiled eggs. If I am in a pinch, I just take already hard boiled eggs and a side of turkey bacon. I top the hard boiled eggs with sriracha and it is heaven!!

Lunches

Spinach, strawberries, chicken, tomatoes, and homemade paleo honey mustard dressing is soo good! I will blog about the honey mustard dressing. This mix is a current favorite right now. I have it for dinner quite often too.

Chicken and Normandy vegetable stir fry. This is simple and so tasty.

Snacks

Grapes and almonds! I have been having this everyday this week and OMG...so freaking tasty.

Paleo approved bars, I have been loving the banana bread lara bars lately.

Bananas and almond butter are my favorite! I usually eat this as a dessert if I am craving something sweet.

Dinners

Steak and veggies. I love this because it is so easy and takes about 10 minutes. The last thing I want to do when I get home from a long, busy day at the office is make dinner. So, this is a typical go to.

Chicken salad of some kind. Most nights, this is what I do. The Boyfriend likes to eat breaded chicken tenders...daily! He basically lives off of them. So, I just throw in some defrosted chicken breasts and make up a salad and dressing while it is cooking.

Salmon Salad. I put strawberries, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, and (occasionally) avocado in for the salad portion, then top it off with some salmon and homemade honey mustard dressing.

They are all so simple, I love it. Especially because it is the holiday season, which means the furniture industry is crazy busy right now. I love coming home and just getting simple meals ready.

I feel better, my skin is better and I am feeling healthier than ever! Tomorrow, I will be back talking exercise! Woohoo!
What are some simple meals you make? Miles In Murrayhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05869826900205669634noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7809396014414270927.post-85142672348202861392012-10-09T05:00:00.000-07:002012-10-09T05:00:05.682-07:00Big MotivatorsWhen deciding to clean up my diet, I had some pretty big motivation to do so.

First, I realized that I was consuming so much more food than I needed for my body. I would finish dinner and be so full and uncomfortable. I felt sluggish all the time. Even though I was still working out at least 3 times a week, I didn't feel more fit or healthier. My clothes kept getting tighter. I realized I was eating serving sizes as large as my boyfriend. No wonder why I was gaining so much weight.

Second, I started having some really bad gut issues. I would bloat. I had horrible gas(TMI, but it's true). I would wake up with a "sour stomach" almost every morning and after most meals. Never in my life, have I experienced the "sour stomach" to that extent. I remember thinking, 'What the hell is wrong with me? I have never had stomach issues like this.' It. Was. Awful.

Third, my skin. Oh, my skiiiiiiiinnnnnnnn! I have always had great skin. A breakout for me was 2 zits, seriously. My breakouts turned into zits all over my face nonstop.

And last, I realized everything I was eating was packed with sugar! I couldn't remember the last savory meal I had. Or the last meal where I actually tasted the true flavor of the food.

I finally reached a breaking point one day. I knew my weight gain was because of the food choices I was making(duh!). I came to the conclusion that my gut issues were due to the types of foods I was eating(*hint* I was right!). My bad skin was due to a new makeup I was using, but I knew my diet wasn't helping the situation. The sugar, well the sugar is because I am addicted to sugar and I didn't want to be anymore.

It is amazing that it took so much to get me serious about Paleo. I lost all of my weight while training for my 1st half marathong(<---Ha! I always type marathong.), I lost all my weight by eating really clean. So, it's not like it is totally foreign eating to me. It's just getting out of the habit and eating foods that are convenient.
Wow, time flies. Let me catch you up on the latest happenings!

I am still training for the half marathon. My running in the past 2 weeks has slowed down a bit, but I am still feeling really confident.

I have started eating more "Paleo Friendly". I will have a whole post on that tomorrow. I am not 100% paleo, but come back and you will find out more ;)

I went to the local farmer's market 2 weeks ago.

My Boyfriend had his 30th birthday!!! Happy Birthday, Sweet Cheeks! I love you!

We went camping to celebrate!

I had 10 miles scheduled on my training plan for when we were camping. I ran 7 of those and I am happy with that!

It is the busy season at work! I love the holidays, most stressful time ever at work. However, I love seeing my friends and family!

I am still pretty much on top of half marathon training. I haven't done a weekly rundown, because I haven't really been tracking my workouts. I am gaining speed and my endurance is so much stronger after only a couple weeks of training. So, let's talk about my 7 miles from last week. 6 miles does not intimidate me, but 7,8,9....you get the idea, really does. I get anxious. I over analyze about it. However, once I do it. I crush it.

I woke up last Saturday ready to rock 7 miles, I hoped.

I was incredibly happy with how the run went. I felt strong. I walked when I wanted without beating myself up over it. I was faster at the end, which is how I hope the Halloween Half goes.

I am also going to be doing as much uphill and downhill in this training cycle as I can....

The first 5 or so miles of the halloween half are straight downhill. That is hard to train for. So, I am going to do what I can to get in as much hill training as possible.

I am happy to say that I have found my love of running again. It is fun to me and something I love.

Here's to tomorrow's <strike>hopefully</strike> great run!

The summer of 1999 was awesome. I was getting ready for my freshman year of high school. I remember having one of the best summer's of my life.

One day, my best friends sister came running up to me and said, "There is a cat under your house!". I thought she was messing around with me at first, but when I bent down to look in the opening under our deck, sure enough, I could see a cat. I tried to coax the sweet thing out and she would come close and then get spooked. So, I decided to leave her alone for the time being and just let her stay there.

The next time I tried, I was successful. Only because I sat out there by the opening and said what felt like a billion times, "Come here, Baby! Come on, Baby!". Eventually, she came right out and let me pet her and inspect her for tags. She did not have any identification. She also had been declawed. I felt so terrible for her. I knew at some point she had had a home with someone. I asked mom and dad if we could keep her and they said very firmly, "NO!". If you know me in real life, you know that I am very stubborn and I always try to get my way.

Over the next few weeks, I would leave cans of tuna out for her. I had to make sure she was fed, but I was just waiting for the day when she would find the person or family that loved her.

Then, it started turning into fall here in Utah. It was cold outside and I couldn't let the poor thing be out in it alone. So, I started bringing her in at night and during the day when mom and dad weren't home. She was so sweet. She was cuddly and playful. I always wanted a dog, but this cat would absolutely make the whole "dog as a pet" thing go away. I could live with having a cat! Ha!

I remember coming home one night to hear my family talking "baby talk" in the living room. When I turned the corner, there she was "Baby". My first thought was, 'Shit! I forgot to put her outside. Are they going to yell at me?'. Then my mom turned to me and said,"Tiff, we had to bring her inside, she doesn't have any claws. We can't leave her outside defenseless.".

After that, it was a sealed deal. I had my first pet.

My precious "Baby Love"

I later learned she was a calico and siamese mix. Her eyes were the brightest blue and she had a personality that wasn't like any other cat I had ever met. I used to always say she is my cat that acts like a dog, and she did. She came when you called her. I would yell up to her from the basement that it was bed time and she would run down stairs to cuddle up in bed with me. She wanted to go potty outside. She was the best!

In a lot of ways, she saved me. I went through some pretty difficult emotional struggles in my teens and into my early 20s, but I always had my Baby Love. She knew when I was down and would always come rub up against me. She would let me cuddle her like a little teddy bear when I would be bawling and inconsolable. She definitely put a smile on my face.

I love her so much! She definitely turned me into a crazy cat lady. Whenever she would walk into a room, I would stop whatever I was doing and start calling to her and talking to her. Haha! I might have been a little <strike>crazy</strike> <strike>obsessed</strike> in love.

When I moved in with Chad, she stayed at my parent's house. I would still go and see her from time to time, but not nearly as much.

Last Wednesday, my dad asked me to call him and when I did, he said it wasn't good news. Baby had been sick for a couple of days. He had to crawl through some furniture in their pool house at 4AM to bring her inside. Once she was inside, all she would want is to be outside. She was too skinny, very frail and stopped responding when called to. My dad called a local vet and asked what could be the problem. They told him with all of the symptoms she has, it sounded like the best thing to do for her was put her down.

So, after work, I headed to Dad's house for my final goodbye to my sweet girl. We cuddled, I cried, I talked to her, I thanked her for finding me, and I kissed her a thousand times. Also, we took 1 final picture together on the car ride over.

I walked into the vet's office, not quite prepared for what was to come. I have never had to do this before! They took Baby Love into the back room to put her catheter in. Then, they brought her back to us. She laid on the table and I cuddled up to her for the final time. Within seconds of the shot going into the catheter, my Baby was gone. She looked so peaceful and beautiful.

My Dad went and picked up her ashes this past week. Now, Baby Love is home!
